Such a long time from my last post! After the moving experience, it has been very hard to go back on track. But here I am with a dreamlike house designed by Inês Vieira da Silva y Miguel Vieira (SAMI Arquitectos). Enjoy the peace that flows all over these images.

Architect William O’Brien Jr. created two incredibly serene and stunning vacation properties for two brothers and their families in upstate New York. Clean, modern, warm and perfect. Check it out.

Home made Architectural poetry
April 18, 2012 – 8:16 pm
I stepped on this video a couple of days ago. It is made for Architecture lovers. But also for those who love beauty and intelligent ways of expressing it. Check it out!
Simply loving Japan
April 9, 2012 – 8:33 pm
House of Trough by Jun Igarashi Architects in Kato-gun, Hokkaido, Japan. Colors, volumes, light and empty space are all focused inward. And the interiors are really, really stunning and refined. The contrast with the surrounding buildings underlines the peaceful and dreamlike interior space. It’s hard to imagine something closer to poetry.

A dreamlike house
April 8, 2012 – 8:54 am
I first thought it was a three dimensional render. Then I understood that this house designed by Architect Manuel Aires Mateus is totally real. I love the simple volumes and the balance between empty and filled space. It is true: less is more.

The best rooftop ever
April 6, 2012 – 8:15 pm
I can’t still believe my eyes. It’s one of the most beautiful things I have ever stumbled on. The all-white roof top pool on top of this renovated building by Belgian architects DMVA, is simply breathtaking. Great taste in use of materials and colors. Almost poetry.

Dreams in the sand
April 6, 2012 – 1:52 pm
Kolmanskop is a ghost town in the Namib Desert in southern Namibia abandoned around 55 years ago. It used to be a thriving town of just over 1,000 people, most of them contract workers. With this population came a vibrant array of culture and entertainment, all of which is slowly being engulfed by the desert sands. When I first saw these pictures I just couldn’t help falling in love with them. The poetry in them is breathtaking. I will go there someday…
Poetic Architecture
April 4, 2012 – 9:24 pm
This house designed by Architect William O’Brien Jr just stepped out of a dream. It is called Allandale House and I think that Architecture can’t really get much better than this.

Scandinavian style
April 4, 2012 – 10:37 am
Architecture firm Elding Oscarson designed this amazing townhouse in the small village of Landskrona, Sweden. I love the “poetic contrast” with the surrounding old buildings.

About
April 3, 2012 – 2:40 pm
About the blog:
I first started this blog on Facebook, received a great response and decided I needed something more. I wanted a way to convey what inspires me in both life and work. ‘Poetic Glance’ is a visual attempt to explore the fine line that separates human interaction with the fixed environment, both natural and man-made. This is an open window toward a poetic vision of life through the lens of Architecture, Photography, Design and Beauty.
